2007-2009 Minor Requirements

The minor gives a student an understanding of the important ornamental crops grown in California, how they are propagated and grown, how we manipulate the environment to control the crop, and how they are harvested and handled after harvest.  Ornamental plants are a multibillion dollar part of the agriculture industry in California, and students majoring in Agricultural Business, Crop Science, or Fruit Science may well deal with ornamental plants as crops during their careers.
